Tapting, Solukhumbu – Wongchhu Sherpa Memorial Hospital has recently launched a Telemedicine Service, allowing patients to consult with medical specialists remotely. According to hospital officials, the service has been in operation for the past two weeks and will now run every Thursday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
Through this initiative, patients can consult with MD (Specialist) doctors from B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan, without needing to leave their local area.
“Our goal is to make specialist care more accessible to people in remote regions,” a hospital representative stated. “This service saves time, reduces travel costs, and eliminates unnecessary hassle.”
The service is expected to benefit the elderly, chronically ill, and others who may find it difficult to travel long distances for expert medical advice.
The hospital has encouraged local residents to take advantage of this service by visiting the hospital on Thursdays.
