At Wongchhu Sherpa Memorial Hospital, our Outpatient Department (OPD) stands as a cornerstone of accessible and compassionate healthcare. We serve an average of 15 patients per day, providing general consultations, daily dental care, and follow-up services for common illnesses and ongoing conditions.
The OPD is led by a qualified MBBS doctor, with support from trained paramedics when needed. We are also enriched by the presence of international volunteer doctors, who serve under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, bringing global collaboration into rural healthcare delivery.
To extend specialist access to our remote community, we host Telemedicine consultations every Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 PM in partnership with MD/MS doctors from BPKIHS, Dharan.
All patient records are securely maintained through an advanced Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring continuity, privacy, and quality of care.
We are also proud to share that our OPD room was generously donated in memory of Late Jennifer Fiona Konopka, whose legacy lives on through the care provided here. The room is beautifully painted by the talented team from Musamasala, creating a warm, healing environment for patients and staff alike.
As we look ahead, we are planning to further expand services by establishing a dedicated dental unit and initiating ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) services, in response to the evolving needs of our community.
We are here not only to treat illness but to uplift lives — through preventive care, health education, and dignity-centered service.
